Living Stronger is our quarterly newsletter – because of the varied backgrounds of our readers, the newsletter is translated into three languages: English, Chinese and Vietnamese. Each newsletter covers important CAC events, community and aged care news and information and upcoming events.

The service brochures in three languages, including English, Mandarin and Vietnamese, provides customers with basic information about CAC services. In addition, it can be useful for people from different cultural backgrounds, who would like to get more information about how you can get help from us to maintain the wellness through the individual person-centered care plan which is specifically designed to suit your personally care needs.

In 2022, we announced a new name and re-branding as “Chung Wah Community Care” which coupled with this year’s energetic theme: “Branching Together.” We are expanding our reach in providing high-quality care and support services to more people in the community. Our new logo symbolises care, community and an archway to a wellness journey. Our bird mascot carries multi-coloured wings which signify our multi-faceted community together in harmony. At Chung Wah Community Care, our community hubs are places to celebrate culturally significant events, collective achievements and individual milestones. See how we celebrated the traditional Chinese New Year and the golden autumn birthday event.

The ‘Golden Era’ theme Chung Wah CAC had launched earlier this year was embraced by allour seniors and NDIS participants.Assisting our clients to achieve the goals, CAC has developed a 5-step ‘Golden Roadmap’ which comprises positive outlook, good health, lifelong learning, manifest your beauty and being social.CAC’s Evergreen College provides classes and excursions based on our clients’ interests to promote wellness and enablement. These classes are designed to help our clients to regain and maintain their coordination, strength, cognition and balance while they travel on the ‘Golden Roadmap.’ Also, CAC is planning to implement Evergreen College activities in our Home Care Package

Over the past few months, there is no denying our everyday lives have undergone significant changes due to COVID-19 and government restrictions. This was particularly difficult as the safety and wellbeing of our seniors, NDIS participants, staff and volunteers are at great risk. Throughout the lockdown period, our Chung Wah CAC team have revitalised the support structure and shown considerable resourcefulness in overcoming the challenges through our outreach initiatives.
